Just an update for the progress that I've made lately with the "Zombie Hunting 101" story and characters. Initially I came up with the revelation that I should make pages for the characters in the story and started with a profile page for Debbie.
Here's the initial idea:

Once I showed it to one of my friends he suggested it would be a good idea to go with a trading card style and from there I jumped into the rabbit hole of researching that idea. I found a few videos on how to design TCG designs and I must say for the most part they were underwhelming for me but I the silver lining was that they led me to a few resources that were useful for helping me find a base for layouts.
Here is the card back template idea. Working in Clip Studio, I sketched out the idea and moved to Affinity Designer to create cleaner pieces for the template. Here is the card back template after clean up:

On researching information about how to work with Designer (I haven't used it that much at this point), I discovered the feature using Art Boards for creating variations of designs. You can make copies of your art boards in AF Designer to create versions very easily and I can go over that if anyone is interested in that at some point. The other thing about working with AF Designer is that since it's like (bites tongue) Illustrator in that it's a vector illustrating program, you can make parts reusable. There is even a way to make instances of parts to reuse but I need to investigate and learn that still.
Anyway, here is screen shot of Parting out the Logo:

That's as far as I've gotten with this! Hopefully this post is interesting for ya'll. Let me know in the comments if you want to hear more about this or other things related to art and design!
Thanks!
